Participant Regulations – Global Innovators Research Challenge (GIRC)


To ensure fairness, inclusivity, and academic integrity, the following rules and eligibility criteria apply to all participants of GIRC:


1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Participants must be students aged 10 to 22 years old at the time of registration.
  • Open to individuals or teams (maximum 3 members per team).
  • Participants must be enrolled in primary school, middle school, high school, or equivalent educational institutions.
  • Projects must be original, created primarily by the students themselves. Mentorship and guidance are allowed, but excessive external contributions may result in disqualification.

2. Team Composition

  • Each team may consist of: 1 to 3 student members, and 1 adult supervisor or mentor (teacher/guardian/research advisor).
  • Each student can participate in only one team or individual project.

3. Project Requirements

  • Projects must align with one of the official GIRC competition categories.
  • Submissions can be based on experimental research, design prototypes, case studies, or applied innovation.
  • Each project must include : Each project must include: A written research paper or report, a research poster, a short video or prototype demo.

4. Language

  • All submissions and presentations must be in English.
  • Projects in other languages must be accompanied by an official English translation.

5. Ethical Standards

  • All participants must uphold academic honesty and avoid plagiarism.
  • Projects involving human subjects, animals, or hazardous materials must include proper safety and ethical approvals, if required by national or institutional guidelines.

6. Registration

  • Teams must register by completing the official registration form and submitting all required documents before the stated deadline.
  • Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered for judging.

7. Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to demonstrate professionalism, respect, and fairness throughout the competition.
  • Any form of discrimination, misconduct, or dishonesty may result in disqualification.
